Why A Teacher Mom?

Finding Jesus in the everyday.

We believe some of the most important lessons our children will ever learn happen in the ordinary moments of family life.

Childhood is made up of small moments.

A book read together on the couch. A hard math lesson at the kitchen table. A disagreement between siblings. A conversation in the car.

A dandelion picked from the backyard and proudly placed in your hand.

These moments may seem ordinary, but we believe they are some of the greatest opportunities we have to point our children toward Jesus.

Look closely and you might find Him...
✦ In a character from a favorite book.
✦ In a lesson about perseverance.
✦ In a friendship that requires forgiveness.
✦ In the beauty and wonder of creation.
✦ In disappointment, hard days, and trying again.
✦ In the wonderfully messy ordinary of family life.

We want to raise children who learn to look for Jesus.

Remember how Pollyanna was always looking for something to be glad about? Around here, we want to practice something similar. Instead of simply looking for the glad, we are learning to look for Jesus.

A Teacher Mom exists to help families turn everyday moments into opportunities to learn, connect, and discover Biblical truth — so that our children don't simply learn about Jesus, but learn to recognize Him in every part of their lives.

“
Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
Deuteronomy 11:19
Because sometimes the most important lessons don't happen during the lesson. They happen along the way.
